1998年9月至2003年4月: 香港科技大学化学系攻读博士学位， 2003年获理学博士学位

2006年9月至现在：厦门大学化学化工学院，教授

研究方向: 金属有机化学及均相催化---设计、合成并表征新的金属有机化合物，研究其反应性质，通过化学计量反应、中间体的分离捕捉等研究反应机理，以期发现新反应，并在此基础上设计、开发、发展催化反应。包括：
金属-分子氢配合物及原子氢配合物的金属有机化学及反应活性研究，金属-碳多重键配合物(vinylidene， allenylidene， carbene， carbyne)的金属有机化学，金属杂苯炔的合成和性质，金属参与的有机反应机理研究，碳-氢键活化，硼杂类Cp配体后过渡金属配合物的金属有机化学，均相催化等。
